Which Blog is Better? AR's or mine?

house search

A couple of hundred years ago, some blokes got together and decided,"We're not going to take it anymore!". And here we are, eating hot dogs and burgers; some of you might have blogged all weekend; still others had a "staycation"- which seems to be all the rage these days. We've come far in 232 years. We love you America!

Down to this money making business. My question revoloves around personal blogging from your personal website. I have my own personal website, with a blog (that I hate, btw, cause its chessy looking). And of course we have the new Outside Blog from AR. Which is better in terms of getting exposure on the Google ;)? I quit using my old Blog and I link directly to AR from my site. Is this a good idea or should I try to better my existing blog (replacing it with some other blogging software besides Godaddy's )?

Well AR gives strong google placement but you dont want to repeat your blog in too many places I have heard this then lowers your ranking. I need to look into that outside blog more.

Active rain in SEO terms is better.

The more links and the larger the "base" the more exposure you will get is my take away answer.  I wouldn't neglect your outside blog, but I think AR and the outside blog are wonderful tools!

AR absolutely has great SEO, but I recently read that Blogger does a better job with cache, etc.  So, I really don't know.  However, the comment amount duplicate material is correct.  For me, I am swapping to AR Outside Blogs based on their strengths and on conveinence.

I agree with the previous comments. Linking AR to your website is a good way to go. You might look into just making a post on your personal website blog with a reference, or link, to your AR blog.

Appreciated the post, and the comments...going back to pay more attention to the outside blog opportunity.
