The N.C. Foreclosure Prevention Fund

 

Locked OutPlease pass this along to anyone who may benefit from this plan for struggling homeowners in NC.

"North Carolina homeowners who are struggling to make their mortgage payments due to job loss or temporary financial hardship. For qualified homeowners, the fund can provide an interest-free loan of up to $36,000 to pay your mortgage and other related expenses for up to 36 months."

This is a great fund for home owners currently struggling with job loss and hardship. Qualified homeowners are eligible for interest free loans for up 36K.

Available now in 17 counties but will be statewide come December 1st.

For those in dire need, please visit the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency. They have programs available: 

 

To be eligible for assistance:

• you are the property owner of the home and you live in your home

• your primary residence is in North Carolina

• you have lost your job or experienced a reduction in income through no fault of your own, or are facing a temporary financial hardship such as a divorce, serious illness, or death of a co-signor

• you have good mortgage payment history prior to your recent unemployment or income loss

• you are a legal U.S. resident
